Sorry, out of stock until mid-September.

Before batteries, digital displays, TV and radio, people had to rely on other instruments for the weather. The thunderglass is a weather forecasting instrument that originated at the start of the 17th century. When air pressure is high the water stays low in the spout. When air pressure is low the water rises, and when you have a thunderstorm the water drips out!

This thunderglass is set in a cast iron stand and comes with a food dye to colour the water and injector for filling.
